A Lifesong

The word Lifesong is being red underlined as a spelling error even as I type it out. Clearly it is not in a dictionary, yet its meaning is self explanatory. I first came across it in a lovely song by Casting Crowns ( A Christian Soft Rock Music Band). Essentially, our lives as we live them out are an expression of ourselves: just as a song is an expression of..well something- these days songs express almost anything! We sing this song to everyone around us; we influence and are influenced by one another's lifesongs. In fact it may be the most important thing we can give this World. Moreover, this is a song we sing to our God. Varied as our faiths may be, they find meaning in our daily actions, thoughts and words.

Such a song is of many melodies, notes and rhythms. Sometimes stormy and wild, sometimes serene and calm but always original and unique. It is a song we share on many levels with our dear ones, friends, associates and for want of a better word- enemies. I am beginning this blog to do just this. To Share.

If you are reading this page, we have probably had the happy opportunity (I hope) to have met. If not, we may meet one day..somewhere. Either way, I hope this song leaves you with some joy, laughter and thoughts to ponder. My status as a singer is of dubious nature though I comfort myself with a first place in an Eight std singing competition. I trust this song will find a more.... lively audience than my bathroom walls.

Cheers and God Bless

PS: Nien Din Laer is Sindarin Elvish (J.R.R. Tolkien) for My Silent Song
